From girl to DINOSAUR...

So yesterday Allissa was playing at the neighbors house and she fell off he bike. She bump her noodle and got a bruise on the side of her forehead. We iced it and then she was right back out the door for more fun. When she came back for dinner she had a little red mark in between her eyes. I didn't think anything about it and Zach fed the kids, bathed them and put them to bed. When I got her up in the morning she had a goose egg on her forehead and her left eye was swollen. I went to playgroup and it started to spread to her right eye. After playgroup I went to my parents house and the first thing my sister says is, "You really need to get that looked at." So I packed her up and headed to the urgent care at my moms work. After 3 facial x-rays to rule out any broken bones (there were none) the first doctor brought in another doctor for a second opinion. She examined it and said for the amount of swelling she has she would probably have a bigger abrasion on her head. After talking back and forth they decided that it was probably an allergic reaction to a bug bite. She has a slight red dot between her eyes. They got the idea from the bug bite on her arm that was red and a little swollen. Here is what my dinosaur princess looks like...

We had to go grocery shopping tonight and I was slightly embarrassed to take her out! Hopefully with the allergy medicine the swelling will go down by the morning if not they want me to take her to see the pediatrician. It is so weird to look at your daughter and not really recognize her.

Annuals...

On Saturday I splurged and bought a few annuals to plant in our empty pots and in the planter by our front door. It was pretty crummy weather as you can see from what the kids are wearing but we still enjoyed ourselves. Lissie was a professional at pulling the flowers out of the plastic and handing them to me. Zander was the water boy and Brody was just there. I hope that over the next few months the flower grow and that I don't kill them!

Zach doing the finally watering before we put them on the deck!

Lissie and Brody messing around on the tractor!
The three amigos bringing me the pots from the backyard so I can fill them with beautiful flowers

Just a random picture of the two best buddies!!!

Lissie and I sitting on my parents driveway. Can you see the famous water slide in the background!!!! Aubrey you will be going down it this summer when you come to visit!!!!!!!

Today was a day filled with sewing in the morning and playing in the afternoon. After lunch today we went over to my sisters house to play. My two nephews Gabe and Spencer are here with my brother for the summer so while my brother is at work the kids are at my parents house. Zander loves playing with the "big boys" and they are nice enough to play with him. My brother gave my nephew Spencer a Mohawk not a fohawk (which I happen to thing are cute every once in a while) a few weeks ago so Robyn and I decided it was time for it to disappear. He fought us on the issue saying my dad will get mad and we assured him it was ok and we were doing it. Robyn got out her clippers and I went to town on the nasty Mohawk. It bought true joy to my life shaving it off!!!! It was like saying goodbye to white trash and hello normal kid!! Next up was Zander and then I finished off my shaving adventure with Brody. Brody was by far the easiest to do. He didn't even flinch when I was shaving around his ears! It was awesome!!!
Below are the results...

Spencer trying to look hardcore

Robyn's clippers only went up to a size 4 so they all ended up with buzz cuts. I think it is perfect for summer. Zander told me that he doesn't like Brody's hair because he doesn't look the same!

Here is little miss Liss being naughty on the swings. When I told her to get down and that we don't stand on swings she replied, "But Spencer did it!"

And then here is Big Pumper Zander himself! He is a pumping pro and can actually pump so high that it scares me a little. He has a slice of bread hanging from his mouth just in case you are wondering what it is!
I love warm days like today when the kids can play outside and enjoy the great outdoors!

breaking and entering...

we have a little neighbor girl who is old enough to know better but young enough not to care. so, instead of knocking and waiting to be invited she just traipses in and out of our house as if it were her own. disconcerting but not wholly unbearable. however, zander seems to have picked up the habit... he walked right into the house of my mother-in-law's neighbor (in case you didn't follow that as badly as i didn't follow that, as i was typing it, that is the neighbor of susan josko, darcy's mother).
furthermore, apparently when kathy (susan's neighbor) asked him to leave, he wouldn't. how rude. so, this week i am going to talk to our little neighbor girl and ask her not to be quite so free with the way our door swings.
as for zander, well, we told him that trolls live in other peoples houses and they would eat him if he went in uninvited.
think he believes us?

Belly shot,summer fun, and projects!

Almost 29 weeks
Do you see the tan line on my arm???? Zander and Allissa with the two neighbor girls! They love swinging on the glider together.

The other day I looked out the window to check on Brody and Allissa and this is what I found them doing. It was so cute to watch them prepare and slide and then do it all over again and again! They are the bestest (not a word I know) little buddies!! When we go out in public people are starting to ask if they are twins. Brody has a big head so sitting in the cart they look the same size.

Zander chillin on the swing set. I love the sun shining behind him.

Today I have my wonderful glucose screening test and my RH- shot!!! I'm so excited to drink the super duper strong SPRITE!!!! I'm just counting down the minutes until I can indulge!! Baby Carleigh is going to be going crazy after I drink it so the kids should be able to get a good feel of her. I started making the kids their bedding. I have so much to do in the next 8ish

weeks it is unbelievable. I have zanders quilt all cut and ready for sewing. I took a few pictures of him with it last night so here it is...

I am using David Walkers robots and rockets fabric. I am going to applique a planet and rocket ship on the big wide strips. Zander is really excited about it and Lissie is bugging me to make hers and baby Carleighs. I started with the boys because it was a little more simple since I don't have to make bumper pads, and a diaper stack! I can't wait to have them all finished and installed! Until then I have a ton of sewing to do!!!
