Every baby darcy has had up to now has come the way babies came for thousands of years. Now we are doing it the way modern medicine provides for. It is surreal.
For Allissa through Carleigh, Darcy would tell me what day we were having the baby and what days to take off following the birth. That day, I would come home with a chocolate shake from McDonald's and we would walk, and walk, and walk. Then when she is dilated to 2 cm we would get an epidural and within an hour, baby! By her side all the while we had comfort in being together.
Now I'm sitting in a recovery room waiting for the nurse to come get me.
I'm nervous, not being able to be by her side, holding her hand and knowing she is ok.
Lissie's kindergarten class did muffins with moms for mother's day. They sang two beautiful songs for us and then we had costco muffins! They made us placemats, cards, and a vase with paper flowers is it. It was so wonderful spending that time with her one on one. My friend christa watched Brody and Carleigh for me so I could go alone! I felt like such a hormonal baby because I was crying and fighting back tears the entire time. One little boy across from me was all by himself his mom didn't show up so he was crying and it broke my heart.
I am so grateful to be Allissa's mommy!!!! I am so blessed to have her as my beautiful daughter!
This picture was taken at 24 weeks! My belly has defiantly grown since then!
For Brody's 5th birthday which was on Thursday may 24th we decided to to go to sea world San Diego. We left on Thursday night and drove down to Bree's house and stayed the night. On Friday morning we got to sea world when it opened at ten and we were there until nine at night. We had such a great time! Then after sea world we went back to Bree's house and hung out and had another slumber party! On Saturday the girls went to the mall and the guys went to the park. In the evening we had a BBQ and it was so delicious! I was really sore on Saturday after walking all over sea world the previous day. My calves were really sore and swollen but amazingly my ankles and feet weren't. Bree and Kip don't have any kids yet and after the weekend with us there who knows if they will still want kids. I kept telling Bree that this is not how a normal pregnancy is so please don't think that pregnancy is this horrible! On Saturday I was waddling for sure and so uncomfortable. By Sunday I was almost back to "normal" if I can call it normal?
This is the Oscar ride I got kicked off of because I was pregnant. It was pretty embarrassing. Lucky Zach just go there and was able to jump on with the kids and took my place.
This couple was amazing. Their balance and core strength was something else watching.
Lissie got her picture with the stars after the show!
Holding the starfish in the tide pool! They were bat starfish so there points were more wedded than your normal starfish. All the kids enjoyed holding them including me!
Holy belly batman!
Brody was the only brave soul that sat in the wet zone of the pets playhouse show. He didn't get wet at all! What a big 5 year old he is!!!!

This is me today at 23 weeks! I was worried because I had not felt Gabby moved all last night and all morning. I was so trilled when I got to church and both gabby and Briggs were going crazy. They love the music! Allissa but her head on my tummy and gabby kicked her hard in her ear. It was so cute watching allissa's reaction. We sat next to the fraternal twin girls that are in Allissa's primary class so it was fun to watch and see them and think of the two babies growing in my belly. I am defiantly the size I was when I delivered Carleigh I looked back in my blog to verify how I felt! It is crazy to think that I still have 15 weeks to go. I guess my belly is just going to have to get bigger!!!! Life is good!!!
This was me at 18 weeks
Last night I made these two dresses for the girls. I a, pretty happy with how they turned out.
On Saturday morning we woke up and got our morning responsibilities done and then we decided to head do to the beach!!! It was absolutely beautiful in thousand oaks as well as the drive over and through the canyon to Malibu. When we were about 1/2 mile from the beach it got overcast and we were bummed!!! We decided to stay anyway and we were glad we did. The sun tried so hard to break through the clouds all day but it didn't quite succeed. It was still warm enough that the kids had a blast running and playing in the water. Before we came home Zach took the three older kids two coves over to the blow hole which they always enjoy doing. Carleigh and I stayed back with our stuff and chilled in the sand. While we were there we saw a sea otter, and two whales. They looked like humpback whales. It is soooooo crazy how close to the shore they come, especially the sea otter. We packed a picnic lunch and ate there. We played a little soccer and Zach and Zander play catch. Brody asked me to bury him in the sand so that was fun for me to do. It reminded me of my childhood days at the beach. Zach did take pictures of the event but they are not going to be seen on this blog!!!! All in all it was a fabulous family day at the beach!!!
Carleigh doing what she does best at the beach if the sun is not out. She loves to lay her towel down and chill!!!
Man this picture just makes me smile!!! I love seeing how close they are!!! It is hard at times having them all so close together but when I see this picture it all seems worth the effort!!!!
Here is evidence that the kids were not at the beach alone, but that we were actually there.
This past fall we all met in St George, Utah to celebrate GG spafford 90th birthday! While we were there since we were all together Zach's sister Kate arranged for her oldest son william to get baptized. He are ALL 130 pictures from the trip. Grandma barb made all the little granddaughter pillow case dresses or skirts so they all wore them for the special day!! The first part of the pictures is from the baptism and the second part is all from the birthday party.
