No dog for us...

Okay so I am house sitting for my friends who's house I am staying at and it is going GREAT all except the dog POOP! I can feed the dogs, give them water, and take care of the plants but picking up the dog poop is a different story. After breakfast this morning I headed out the door to feed the dogs and clean up after them and i got step one done but was unable to complete step two! I was gagging and though my breakfast was going to come up. i am in the house and tried to figure out what the heck I was going to do. That is when I sent a text to my wonderful Mormon brother begging him to please help me pick up the dog poop and that I in return would cook him dinner or take his family out to dinner. He said he would do it for me and I am soooo grateful.

Zach told me to try mind over matter but it isn't working for me. I have changes enough stinky poops in my life that you would think I could manage but I can't do it! It is pretty pathetic I know but I have no bonds whatsoever with these dogs.

Needless to say our poor children will never have a DOG!

This is for you MARCI!!!!

Well, we got to CA safely and are having a GREAT time. I am not going to lie I would rather be at home with my wonderful and ever so helpful husband but we are enjoying it here! The first weekend was filled with a bachelorette party, a wedding, and to finish off the weekend a bridal shower. Zach left Sunday morning and Allissa cried as we were dropping him off at the airport, It was so sad I was crying. She was saying no pappi don't go, I come with you on the airplane...over and over. We spent mon-thurs, recovering from all the craziness and now we are having some fun.

We went to the sports park on Friday for the 4th of July for a BBQ and to watch the fireworks. Zander and Allissa loved them except the grand finale scared them both. Brody on the other hand screamed his head off and was not impressed with them at all. I finally got him to nurse and her fell asleep in my arms so those around us didn't have to listen to a screaming baby the whole time.

On Saturday I went over to my high school boyfriends brothers house for swimming and BBQ. It was a good time. Although I was a little hesitant about going it turned out to be a nice day. The brother was super nice to us and told us that we were welcome to come over anytime and well the mom was not super welcoming but we left shortly after she arrived so it wasn't too awkward. Saw pictures of my old boyfriend around the house and all I can say is I barely recognized him he was soooooo HUGE!

Today we went to church in the ward I was baptized in. It started at 8:30 (yes 8:30) and I actually made it there in time to sit before the opening hymn started. I was quite impressed with myself. I was even showered with my hair done, for those of you who normally see me on Sunday you know that is quite and accomplishment for me! We are now hanging out with my Mormon brother and sister in law! They have a little boy who turns four next month so the kids are having a great time playing.

This week the family I am staying with are out of town so I will be all by my lonesome. I miss Zach terribly. This is the longest we have ever been away from each other. August 1st can't come fast enough :0( That is when Zach comes to join us for the remainder of our vacation!

I am surviving surprisingly well as a single parent however I don't think I will ever want to do it again. This is for sure a once in a lifetime experience. I miss you all and can't wait to have a welcome home BBQ at our house in August! Zach has been busy doing some major work around the house. He said out house it is like Extreme makeover home edition minus the FREE part :0(
Dang it I wish it was FREE! I am excited to see all the stuff he is getting done when we get home.

Well that is all for now. I hope I didn't bore you all to death!

As of now I have no camera so I can't post picture...sorry. If Zach hasn't found our camera I am going to by one this week. There are too many photo opts that I am missing.

Oh and Allissa apparently has a boyfriend. Hunter my Mormon brother little boy told his sunbeam class that he has a girlfriend and her name is Allissa...too cute!!
