1 year ago exactly I was at the hospital in labor with Brody! It is so crazy how fast time flies. I can't believe it has been a year already! I miss it! I LOVE being pregnant and giving birth. What a miricle it is. I feel so blessed to have experienced it three time so far and hopefully a few more in the future... (now for those of you who might be wondering I am not pregnant.) I have a bridesmaid dress I have to fit in at the beginning of August!

At the moment Brody is in his bed crying. The clock reads 12:28am. What in the world am I still doing up? Zach tried to calm him down so he would go back to sleep but it didn't work. I think he just want to come stuggle in bed with us to celebrate his first year of life with us. I am just glad that Zander and Matt are sleeping through the crying. The last thing we need is all three of them up!!! Well off to go rescue Brody! I don't feel like listening to him cry for the next 20 minutes. His upper right tooth just broke through the skin yesterday so it might be hurting him. His crying has almost stopped maybe I will luck out and he will fall back to sleep while I type....... It is now 12:40 and Brody is fast asleep and so is Zach I must add.

Good Night!!!!!

Strike a pose!!!

Alissa just looked soooo cute yesterday I couldn't help but take model shots of her! I couln't believe that she was up for saying cheese without squinting her eyes and wrinkling up her nose like she normally does!
She is just hamming it up for the camera! She is wearing Zander's sandals from two summers ago...I think they work for a girl too...what do you think??? I haven't found any cute sandals that I felt like spending money on. That is hard for me to do if you know me I can spend money on just about anything! I am working on that!
I told Allissa to stand up and show me how big she was ( I was trying to get a full body shot) and she stood up on her tip toes and put her arms up! It was too CUTE!!! She is getting so big! I LOVE listening to her talk and put sentences together. Her voice is so SWEET and she articulates really well. Her stitches are gone and her cut is healing quite nice! In a few more weeks it should be as good as new!
Alissa is our PERFECT LITTLE DOLLY!!!!! She can do absolutely no wrong in her Pappi's eyes! I can't believe she is only two and already has her Pappi wrapped around her finger!

And he's off.....

Do you see the French doors in the back of the pictures? Brody just LOVES it when they open. The second the door is open no matter where he is in the house he races to the door as fast as his little hands and knees can carry him (not his feet no walking for this little guy) and out the door he goes. If you get to the door before him and close it he has a complete meltdown. Once he is out...
he races down the walk way to the wood chips. Occasionally he stops on the door step to eat some sticks! He has finally learned how to safety go do the stairs without falling into the planter. That is a new trick of his!
He LOVES to climb to the slide and put wood chips on it and bang the sticks against it and make noise. I just LOVE his smile!!! When he is outside you don't even have to get him to smile because outside he has a perma-smile!
What more can I say about this little guy?? He is just WONDERFUL!!! We LOVE him to pieces!!! Now that he is outside don't even think about bringing him in without a complete MELTDOWN!!!!

Zander's 1st sleepover...

Ok so first off the pictures are in the wrong order so start from the bottom and work you way up!

Then brody woke up and cried which woke Matt up. All Matt said was, "Were is my blanket?" Zach recovered Matt and re position Zander the wild sleeper and this was the finished product! They slept all night just perfect!
Here is a head shot of the two of them... oh and Brody is asleep about 3 feet away in his crib I forgot to take his picture...
Zach put the boy to bed a little after 7. I went in at 7:39 and the were playing on the floor with the little fisher price balls from the ball popper. I told them that they had to stay in bed or that Zach would have to go sleep in the baby crib. At about 7:45 I went back in and to my surprise they were STILL in bed but playing with the balls under the covers. Next I told them that not only did they have to stay in bed but that they weren't allowed to talk. They went right to sleep. After Grey's I came upstairs to find them sleeping like this...

This morning I awoke to the sounds of a strange little boy voice saying, "Zander's mommy I need to go potty." That was how my day started... Everyone ate breakfast like champs and have been playing nicely together ever since!!!!! There is nothing better then a GREAT playmate! Matt you will be missed!!!!!!

We are off to the gym in about 45 minutes I need to go get everyone dressed and out the door. I think it will take me all that time!

SPAFFORD FAMILY PLAYGROUND!!!

It's official the Spafford Family Playground is now complete!!! The swing set is leveled out and we put down wood chips to cover up the grass/mud!! It is too fun! We put the white fence up as a visual boundary so the kids know where to stop. It is only two feet high so they could get over it :0) Or just go around it! LOL!!!
Brody was so tired he feel asleep swinging!!! Is summer ever going to come...isn't it at least spring???
Alissa and Lily testing out the glided! Lily is the little girl who lives behind us. They are only one month apart how cool is that!!! Last swing they were both barely walking and how they are running and talking like the big kids!

Torianna (lily's big sister), Allissa and Zander playing king and queen of the wood chips! Thanks Dad for letting us barrow your car and trailer! If any of you are ever bored and want to get out just give us a call!!!!! We would love to have playmate come over anytime!!!! I mean it just call!!!!

HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY!!!!

So far this Mother's Day has been exciting! It started with all three of the kids in bed with Zach and I. Then we moved onto the living room to open gifts. Zander was so excited to finally be able to give me my mother's day gift! He brought it home from school about a week ago. Every day he kept asking is it mother's day yet? Can you open the present? It is a person plate!!! See the eye and the nose?? I asked him to show me the mouth and he said it doesn't have one yet...he wants to go get a marker and draw one on!!! After presents we figured we better started getting ready for church. I laid out all the kids clothes so Zach could get them dress. While I was doing that Allissa decided to trip and fall hitting her head on the corner of the dresser drawer :0( I think the picture below will finish the rest of the story...

Off to Children's Hospital they we went again! Zach stayed home with the boys and Lissie and I went for a ride. She did pretty good at first but during the stitches she went crazy. The doctor through since she was so calm and quite that we could probably get away without oral sedation just the topical numbing cream. They had me lay down on the bed and Lissie lay on top of me with her led between mine and I hugged her really tight so she couldn't move her arms. A "patient care helper" held her head still. All I can say is boy does she have some lungs and I am soooooooo glad I did not work out my arms at the gym yesterday! The Dr. thought she need three stitches but with all the screaming she did during the stitching she decided to only do two. Now her and Zander are twins with matching scares! I am thinking we should have budgeted more then 3 ER visit for the year in our flex spending account. It is the middle of May and we have already used 2 of them :0( On the way home she feel asleep and is still fast asleep. I think she wore herself out. It is almost 2 and e got home at 11:30.
