It's quiet minus coughing

It is 7:40 and all 3 0f the kids are still asleep. I woke up at 6:45 (as Zach was saying morning prayer with me before heading out the door to work) and realized my bladder was going to explode. By the time my bladder was somewhat empty I was awake. I'm not sure what to do with myself with such a quiet house, all I keep thinking is why am I awake when the kids aren't? The sound of my kids coughing is all I can hear.

Today should be a great day! I have an ultrasound at 10:00 and an appointment at 10:30. I'm so excited to see little Carleigh Jane bouncing around in my belly. Hopefully this time I will get to see her precious profile and get a picture of it.

I hear footsteps coming from the back rooms and it sounds like Zander feet. Better go see who is up!

Our trip to TN...

Last Friday we left WI and traveled to TN to visit with Zach's parents and grandma for Easter. It was a great trip. It is about a 9 hour drive to get there and we left about about 1:30pm. The drive must have been a little too uneventful so at about 9:30, shortly after we left McDonald's (bathroom break), the kids were watching Madagascar 2 on the dvd player. I happened to glance back to check on the kids and to my surprise Lissie was having a full blown seizure. Zach quickly pulled over and got Allissa out of her car seat and brought her into the front seat while I found her emergency medicine and we gave it to her (it is a supository.) Once we give her that medicine it normally stops her seizure and she pops out of it right away, however this time she didn't. So we drove to the next exit and went to a Flying J. Zach ran in with her to check her coloring to make sure she was getting enough oxygen. When he got back into the car she still had not popped out of it so we decided we better call 911 to make sure she was okay before we continued on to TN. We were in the MIDDLE OF NO WHERE Missouri so it would take the ambulance about 15 minutes to reach us. So a police officer showed up and confirmed that her pulse was good but that she was non responsive. Shortly after two off duty firefighters showed up to see what was happening and then two first response guys also came. I wish I could have taken a picture of all 5 of these guys. It was obvious that this was the most exciting thing happening in town. The police officer said we take things very seriously especially when kids are involved. The first response guy questioned us why we gave her the medicine we did because it is a really strong drug. He asked to she the prescription to confirm that we were supposed to give her it and asked who ordered her to have it. Once we said, "Her neurologist" he stopped questioning us. As if we would drug our three year old. By the time the ambulance got there she had popped out of it so they just checked her vitals and confirmed that she was okay. We put her back in her car seat and continued on out way. We were a little worried because we didn't have any more emergency medicine so we decided that it was better to keep driving and get to TN where there was a REAL hospital in case she were to have another seizure instead of sleeping there.
The rest of the drive I spent most of my time checking on her. I am so grateful for the Spirit because the last thing I did before we left home was grab her emergency medicine. I keep on in my diaper bag but the one I had in there Lissie pulled the trigger on so I got the other one that I knew for sure wasn't broken. It is amazing how the promptings of the Spirit work. I'm so glad I was listening.

On Saturday we went to the Memphis Zoo. It was a beautiful day and the zoo was really neat. We got to see our first panda bear in person and we watched the Hippos go for a swim. We also loved to watch all the different monkeys. They are my favorite animals. Grandpa Bill is in love with Lissie and they were total buddies the entire day. While we were watching the monkeys through the glass Lissie decided to say out loud, "The monkey has a really big penis." I about died that Allissa noticed the excited male and announced it to the crowd. I tried to pretend like I didn't hear her and I can only imagine what my father-in-law was thinking because he was right next to her. Grandpa treated Zander and Allissa to face painting. Alissa choose to be a rainbow butterfly and Zander a tiger. After they were done a family from India asked if they could take pictures with the kids so they will be in somebody's scrapbook, kind of weird.

On Sunday we went to church, it was Easter Sunday, but had to leave early because Allissa was sick and would not stop crying to go home. When we got home we had a nice Easter meal and then took naps. When we got up Grandma Barb and I decorated Easter eggs with the kids. The Easter bunny came and left baskets outside the bedroom door so the kids had fun with those before church. We have decided that the Easter bunny does not bring candy in our family so the kids got puzzles, kites, play dough, bakugans, and a few other things. Since we dyed the eggs On Sunday Grandma decided we would do the Easter egg hunt for Family Home Evening on Monday night.

Our Love Egg...my favorite color is Blue and Zach's is Green! Zander and Allissa with Grandma Barb.He was so proud of his eggs. After Zander and Allissa dyed the eggs just right Brody would pick them up and throw them back into the dye. He was such a little stinker.

I am done blogging for now so I will have to finish the rest of our trip next time...

Easter outfits

Today was the first day in our reorganized Oak Creek ward at church. They split our ward the week before conference, then it was stake conference, and today was our first meeting as a new ward. It was a little strange because we knew everyone that was there except about half the ward was missing. Where families once sat seats were now empty. I got a new calling as the secretary in the Primary Presidency. I am excided to learn how primary runs since I have never been in before since I joined the church when I was 16.

Zander and Brody have total bedhead in these pictures. Zach did their hair after I took the pictures. Oh well!!!

It is so hard to get good pictures of all the kids together. It was really cold out today so we weren't able to take pictures outside.

Piggytails and easter dress/plans

Here is Lissie Boo sporting her very FIRST SET of PIGGY TAILS!!!! At the ripe old age of three she finally has enough hair!!! This is a big accomplishment!!!! Also this is the Easter dress that I made her to match the boys outfits. Zander's shirt is orange and his tie is turquoise and Brody's shirt is turquoise and orange plaid with a turquoise sweater vest. They are from the Children's Place. The dress matches PERFECT and I am so excited to get pictures of all three of them together on the big day!
Not sure what she is doing in this picture with her tongue?

Before we leave...
We leave for TN on Friday to go to Zach's parents house for a week! I am so excited to get away from this place and have some awesome family time!!!! Before we leave I have to...
1.finish laundry
2.Pack
3.Get as much of my 419.00 dollar bow order done as I can. One of my awesome customers bought 82 bows!!!!
4.Clean. clean and then try to clean some more in hopes that we don't come home to a trashed house...
5.Watch the last conference session (while I make bows)
6.Have two doctor's appointments of Thursday for the kids follow up for their ears, and blood work for Allissa. Can't wait!!!!
7.Try not to waste time on the computer like I'm doing now!
8. Oh and one last thing...hope and pray that my pink eye clears up before I leave...and that no one else gets it. I blame Zach for the pink eye because he suggested we go to Wal-mart over Target and I am sure I got it from the cart. No one I know has pink eye and the kids are just perfect...for now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scrumptious little piggies...

Whenever I look at my babies I see scrumptious little piggies made of sugar and whipped cream and I just want to eat every little bit of them. Each night when I arive home the people (sometimes I call them my people as though I were the ruler of a little island of whipped cream piggies) come running, screaming "Papi" as though I were a rock star. It is nice to be a rock star to my people... Darcy Kate loves to watch the show, she gets everyone excited to see me, and then when I am done with the people, she waits for me to stroll over to her and... well, what else do married people do... she makes me happy. She'd probably be embarressed, but don't tell her about this post and she won't know, it'll be our little secret.
